When Cheers and Gears launched, they had one goal in mind; bringing Portland's eccentric bicycle culture together with the local pub scene in a fun and safe environment. They wanted to be a part of the world class tourism scene that Portland has to offer and even better, showcase the amazing local breweries, distilleries, cocktail lounges and so much more.

Trevor Nelson was a lifelong coastal Californian until 2021, when a desire for something different yet familiar led him to move to the city of Portland. Almost immediately, he fell in love with the culture, nature, people, and everything else that makes this city one-of-a-kind. From an early age, his professional goal has always been to bring entertainment and joy into people’s lives, which led him to pursuing a degree in Film Production. Later, he changed his life and developed a passion for authentic tourism when he spent months and months backpacking through Europe. Discovering the party bike bar tour industry was the perfect blending of these two passions, he created Cheers & Gears with his business partner, Colten, and is thrilled to bring this unique experience to the streets of Portland.

Cheers and Gears was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip to Portland! From start to finish, the energy was high, the beers were cold, and the vibe was unbeatable. The crew running the cycle was super friendly, knowledgeable about the local breweries, and kept everyone laughing and engaged throughout the ride.
We’ll definitely be booking again next time we’re in town. 🍻🚲

Had a great riding with Cheers and Gears and my coworkers. Our captain started the fun with great energy and communication. We stopped at three bars. Since it was early in the afternoon we didn’t have to wait long to get drinks. I was especially happy that the last bar was close to where we started. Would definitely go again! Thanks!
